Ida F. Varga
1932 - 2019
Ida F. (Genica) Varga, a longtime resident of Malden, passed
away on Friday, November 1st at the Kaplan Family Hospice House
in Danvers. Ida was born in 1932 in Everett. She was raised and
educated in Everett. Ida married her sweetheart, Stephen Varga
and the two shared many wonderful years together until his
sudden passing in 1980. Ida worked as a waitress at the Montvale
Plaza in Stoneham, as well as for Henry's Catering in Malden.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, loved to cook and was the happiest
spending time with her grandchildren.
She is Survived by her children,
Stephen Varga and wife Beverly of NH, Ida Miller and husband Alfred of Lynn,
Larry Varga and wife Beth of NV, Karen Carozza and husband Robert of Peabody,
her sister, Grace Genica of Saugus, her brother, Peter Genica of Saugus 15
grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and her long time friend, Beverly Gillis
Ida was preceded in death by her husband Stephen, her son,
Edward M. Varga, and her brothers, Michael Genica and Anthony
Funeral from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144
Salem St, Malden, on Tuesday, November 5th, at 8:00
AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church,
Malden, at 9:00 AM. Interment in Lake Havasu Memorial Garden,
AZ, at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral
home on Monday, Nov 4th, from 4 – 8 PM.
