Roseann McEvoy, a
kindergarten teacher at the Salemwood School in Malden, passed
away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 with her loving family and friends
by her side. Roseann was born in New Jersey in 1968 to James and
Angelica McEvoy. She was raised in Verona, NJ where she
graduated from high school in 1986. Roseann is a 1990 graduate
of Emmanuel College and went on to earn a Masters in Education
from Fitchburg State College.
Roseann was an amazing high
school and college athlete and an even better teammate. She
became a huge Boston sports fanatic who loved to dress in Red
Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics attire. Roseann was involved
in many charitable activities, always stopping to help those in

loving partner, Colleen McBride of Stoneham, her parents, James
and Angelica (Iacovone) McEvoy of NJ, James McEvoy Jr. and wife
Laura of NJ, Christine Lopez and her husband Victor of PA,
Michael McEvoy of NJ, and John McEvoy and wife Jessica Pearson
of NJ, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Roseann was
predeceased by her former sister-in-law, Michelle Turso McEvoy.
Funeral services will be
held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem
Street, Malden on Monday, October 24, at 8:45AM followed by a
Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church,
Malden at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery,
Everett. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday,
October 23rd., from 2-8 PM.
