(Cerasuolo) Turra of Malden, gracefully passed away Saturday
evening August 25th, 2018 at the Ruben Thompson House in Saugus,
in the presence of some of her loving family, at the age of 95.
Josephine was born and raised in Boston’s now infamous North
End. She was one of two daughters and eight son’s born of Vito &
Marie Rose (Iconi) Cerasuolo.
later meet and marry the love of her life, Vincent Turra. The
couple eventually settled in Malden where they later welcomed
into their family three beautiful children, Robert, Rose Marie
Josephine was a
loving mom and dedicated much of her time to raising her three
children. Outside of the home, Josephine and Vincent had a
passion for real estate, and spent many fruitful years acquiring
and re-selling desirable real estate in the Malden and Medford
area as a side business.
While family was
everything to Josephine, one cannot underscore enough
Josephine's, dedication and devotion to God and the church. She
was extremely active in church as well as hosted and attended
many prayer groups. She made it her mission to help the poor and
underprivileged in the world and even went as far as donating a
house. Her door was always open and she would always welcome you
with a smile and a joke.
Family and friends
are invited to remember Josephine’s wonderful life on Thursday,
August 30th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Weir-MacCuish
Funeral Home, located at 144 Salem Street, Malden.
Funeral will be held
from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home,144 Salem St.,
Malden on Friday August 31st, at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of
Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, located at 297 Main
Street, Malden at 10:00 AM.
Entombment to follow in the Holy
Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
