Gene P. Tallent, a longtime
resident of Malden, passed away on Sunday, December 26th,
after a brief illness. Gene was born in Boston in 1947, one of
13 children from Frank and Edna Tallent. He was raised and
educated in Charlestown. Gene had worked as a bus boy at
Bickfords, in Melrose and then in Saugus, for over 20 years. He
was an avid fan of all Boston sports teams, and also enjoyed
fishing and going for bike rides, and listening to Elvis
He is survived by his
sisters, Ann Helms of Ohio and Donna Nice of Malden, and his
brother, William Tallent of Everett, as well as many nieces,
nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents,
Gene was preceded by his siblings, John Tallent, Priscilla
Bodkins, Mary Jane King, Nancy Mangin, Edna Tallent, Lennie
Tallent, Richie Tallent, Frank Tallent, and Jimma Tallent.
Funeral services will be
held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem
St, Malden, on Tuesday, January 4th, at 10 AM.
Interment to follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
Visitation will be held at
the funeral home on Monday, January 3rd, from 4 – 8
