December 14, 1982 – March 12, 2021 A.D.
M. Symonds (38, Mattapan) unexpectedly passed away at home on
the morning of March 12, 2021. Born into this life on December
14, 1982 to John and Marjorie Symonds, David spent most of his
life in Malden. He attended Forestdale Elementary, Malden Middle
and High Schools. David took an early interest with model cars,
especially Chevys. He was also a long-time fan of
Ghostbusters and The Simpsons. He enjoyed
guitar music, and had an especial love for Fenders. His love of
guitar was outmatched only by his love for his friends, of which
he had many around Greater Boston. In 2018, he met Heather Oman
of Boston. Together, they had many adventures both locally and
elsewhere, seeing the sites and learning about various cultural
treasures and artifacts.
David is predeceased by his father, John Symonds (†1996) and his
nephew, Damian Laycox (†2017). He is survived by his mother
Marjorie (Charles) Ward of Summerville, SC; his girlfriend
Heather Oman (Mattapan); his sister Heather (Peter) Lapierre of
Summerville, SC; his brother Kevin Symonds of Hazen, ND; his
niece Chloe Aiello of Beverly; and his uncle Joseph (Judy)
Symonds, Jr. of Malden. The wake will be March 23, from 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. at the Weir-MacCuish funeral home in Malden. Interment
will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett on March 24 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in David’s name
to MSPCA-Angell in Boston (www.mspca.org/memorial).
