Andrea L. (Heffron) Surette

Andrea L. (Heffron) Surette, a Malden native and resident of Andover, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 15, after a long battle with severe depression. She was raised in Malden, where she attended the Immaculate Conception School, and graduated from Newman Prep School in Boston. She was a sales representative for Bob Heffron Associates for 30 years, where she represented a number of women’s apparel lines throughout New England and New York.

She loved to travel, spend time with family and friends, decorate, plan events and her work, but her greatest joy was being a mother to her four daughters, who were the center of her life.

Andrea was full of life. She spent numerous hours dancing in the kitchen with her daughters. She was strong. She was generous. She was love.

She is pre-deceased by her parents, Bob and Janet Heffron. Andrea is survived by her daughters, Amanda Jaklitsch and husband Jonathan of Malibu, CA; Nicole Maniatis and husband Yianni of Georgetown; Lindsey Surette and fiancé Ken of Hoboken, NJ; and Lauren Surette and boyfriend Erol of Andover; her brothers, Bill Heffron and wife Nancy of Lynnfield; Brian Heffron and wife Renee of Lynnfield; and Bobby Heffron of Stoneham; her grandson Niko; her former husband Russell Surette of Malden; her aunt Marjorie (Knox) Ferraro of Wilmington, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked donations be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at

Funeral services will be held from the Weir–MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral home on Saturday, June 19, with visitation beginning at 7 AM, followed by a 10 AM Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church in Malden. Interment to follow in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody
