Sanford, of Peabody, passed away in his home on Thursday, Jan 26th,
at the age of 77. He was born in Medford in 1940, the son of
Eugene and Rose Sanford. He grew up in Malden, and after
completing his education he enlisted in the US Army. He was
discharged and returned to the Malden area, and began working in
the construction field. He first worked with the Local 22
Laborers Union, and later the Local 4 Crane Operators.
Eventually, disability forced his early retirement. In 1980 he
married his sweetheart, Theresa Brown. The two shared 36 years
of marriage together. Herbert was very outgoing and enjoyed
life to the fullest, trying to do everything he could. He liked
camping, and fishing, and in years past jogging. Herbert was
also a past member of the ITAM War Vets.

and wife Carol of
Billerica, Diane Sanford of Melrose, and Linda Bresnahan and
husband John of
Wilmington, his sisters Carol Morse of Malden, and Roberta Banks
of Martha's Vineyard, as well as 11 cherished grandchildren and 5 great

his dearly departed grandson, Darien, and his bother Eugene
will be held at the Chapel at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St,
Everett, on Mon, Jan 30th, at 10:00 AM.
