Mark W. Russell

 

Mark W. Russell, of Peabody, formerly of Malden and Melrose, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 1st, at the age of 54.   Mark was born in Everett in 1962, the son of William and Theresa (MacDougall) Russell.  He was raised in the Maplewood section of Malden and graduated from Malden High School with the Class of 1980.  Mark went on to become a licensed electrician and worked for Tyco Integrated Security in Norwood.  He was a member of the IBEW Local 103, and served as their shop steward.  Mark enjoyed working with his hands, and had a knack for being able to fix almost anything.   He also knew his way around the kitchen as much as the shop, and enjoyed being a good cook. 

He is survived by his children,  B. Tyler Russell and Meagan A. Russell of Peabody, his siblings, Stephen and his wife Mary Collins of Medford, Paul and his wife Elizabeth of West Newbury, Scott Russell and Chamaine Scalli of Malden, as well as a large extended family. Brother of the late Brian Russell of Malden and Medford 

Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home on Monday, January 9th, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem St, Malden, at 10 AM.  Interment will follow in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, January 8th, from 4-8 PM.
