John E. Roebuck II



    John E. Roebuck II, a retired city of Malden School Teacher and Administrator, passed away unexpectedly with his family at his bedside. He was 69. John was the son of the late John E. & Catherine (Childs) Roebuck. John was born and raised in Everett. John was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Boston in 1965.

    He received his Associateís Degree from Bryant & Stratton College in Boston, and his Bachelorís Degree from Lesley College. He originally taught computer classes at Malden High, before becoming a school administrator. In his spare time he worked as a tax preparer, which became a full-time endeavor following his retirement.

    He loved caring for and spending time with his cherished granddaughters. He was fond of train trips and was an avid Miami Marlins fan. He also loved watching Boston sports teams. John was a member of the Irish American Club in Malden.

    John was the loving husband of Karen A. (Durant) Roebuck, for forty-seven years. He was the devoted father of Kristin A. Burns and husband Steven of Everett, Matthew J. Roebuck and wife Danielle of Florida. He was the brother of William Roebuck and wife Laurel of Methuen. John was the beloved grandfather of Lindsey E., Kaleigh C., & Rylie A. Burns, and Audrey M. & Emerson M. Roebuck.

     Johnís funeral service will be held in the Weir-Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Saturday,  November  19,2016.  at 10AM. Interment to follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.

      Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, November  19, 2016  from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in Johnís memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association/ New England, 10 Speen St., 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA  01701.
