Nicole L. Roberts

1972-2019

Nicole L. Roberts was born on November 6, 1972 and passed suddenly, on March 2, 2019. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, Nicole or Nikki as she was so affectionately called, was a lifetime resident of Malden.

Loving mother to Adriana Roberts (Dre), the light of her world and devoted daughter to Debra Roberts of Saugus and Russell and Debbie Jones of Revere. Nicole is granddaughter to the late John and Laura Jones, of Revere and Barbara Roberts of Lynn. Nicole is also survived by her siblings; Talisa “Michelle” Nettles, Russell Roberts Sr., Rolanda “Tookie” Flammia, Alesha Jones, Paul Quinn, Christopher Jones and Anthony Frazier. She is known as Aunty to Jamal Jones, Decovan Wilson, Clinton Cotton, Chace Bolling, Russell Roberts Jr. and Olivia Roberts. Nicole leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and of course, her closest childhood friend, Melanie Philbrook.

Known for her infectious laugh and electric smile, Nikki had the ability to light up any room she walked into. In 2005, life changed for Nikki when Dre entered this world and captured Nikki’s heart. Motherhood was Nikki’s greatest accomplishment and she never wavered at the task. Nikki lived to make sure Dre was happy and taken care of. She would say, “I’m frugal unless it’s for my daughter”.

Nikki worked at IQVIA Pharmaceutical Company as an executive assistant where she was known for her organization skills and getting the job done. Throughout her career, if Nikki started, in an entry level position, you can guarantee, before long, she would be supporting the CEO. Nikki’s vibrant personality combined with how talented she was caused her to shine and excel professionally.

In her spare time, Nikki loved to sing, entertain and dance. Nikki and Dre would take drives, blast the music and sing at the top of their lungs. For years, Nikki traveled with Kion Simmons performing all over New England, even making an appearance at the Apollo. Nikki’s personality was even bigger than her voice.

Our lives were forever altered on March 2, 2019….. We lost a mother,  daughter, sister, friend and an amazing woman. There are no words to express the void we feel. We will miss you dearly, Nik.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend visitation hours on Friday morning, March 8, 2019, from 9:00AM-11:00AM at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home at 144 Salem St., Malden. The funeral service will begin promptly at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Nicole’s daughter, Adriana Roberts. Please see Rolanda Flammia for details.
