Phyllis R. “Honey” Reidy

1952 - 2019

Phyllis R. “Honey” (Lindquist) Reidy, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away suddenly, on Saturday, Jan 19th. Phyllis was born in Melrose in 1952, the daughter of Lewis and Phyllis Lindquist. Her family spent a few years in Chelmsford before moving to Malden, where Phyllis was raised and educated. After her graduation from Malden High School in 1970, she attended Salem State College. She worked as a bank teller for Central Bank for more than 10 years. Phyllis also worked as a secretary, first at Robert Parks Corp, where she met her future husband David. She later worked as a secretary for the Mass State Retirees Association in Boston.

Phyllis and David were married in August of 1979 in Malden. They then settled down in Malden to raise their family, and the two shared over 40 years together. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and playing solitaire, and was a master at scrabble. Phyllis was a wonderful woman who understood life.

She is survived by her husband, David C. Reidy of Melrose, her children, Christopher F. Reidy of CA, Jennifer K. Jackson of Marblehead, and Megan D. Carolan of Revere, and her grandchildren, Charlotte, Jacob, and Colin.
