Charlene Ann O'Leary

July 30, 1964-May 22, 2018


   Charlene Ann O’Leary , 53, of Everett. MA, formerly of Malden, passed away after a lengthy illness on May 22, 2018 at the Kaplan House in Danvers, MA.

   Charlene was born July 30, 1964. She was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School Class of 1982. She worked as a mail handler at the U.S. Post Office in South Boston for over 20 years. When she was not working, she enjoyed taking walks down at Revere Beach. She also enjoyed listening to Aerosmith and Howard Stern's radio station. During the summer, she loved to spend time with her family up in New Hampshire by the lake. Throughout her battle with her illness, she showed tremendous strength and determination, fighting hard to the very end.

   She is predeceased by her longtime companion of over 20 years, Jeffrey Halloran formerly of Malden her mother Patricia O’Leary, father John O’Leary and daughter, Erin Halloran. She was the devoted mother to Shawn O’Leary of Everett, Samantha Halloran of Malden, Jennifer Halloran of Malden, and Tracy Files and her husband Michael of Stoughton. Loving sister to Michael O’Leary of Melrose, John O’Leary and his wife Debbie of Malden, and Robert O’Leary of Salem, NH. Loving “Cha-Cha” to Kyera  Edeman of Saugus, Olivia Sateriale of Malden, Andrew Files, Brady Files, and Chase Files of Stoughton. She is also survived by her aunt, uncle, niece, nephews and friends.

   Funeral services will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Wednesday May 30th, at 11AM.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 29th, from 4-8PM.
