Jeanne E. Nash
1940 - 2021
Jeanne E. (Mercier) Nash, a longtime resident
of Malden who had recently been living in Medford, passed away
on Saturday, January 30th after a brief illness. Jeanne was born
in Everett in 1940 to Louis and Edna Mercier. She was raised in
Everett and graduated from Everett High School in 1958. She
worked in the medical billing field and worked at Melrose
Wakefield Hospital and Lahey Clinic before retiring at the age
In 1965, Jeanne married her sweetheart, Robert F. Nash and the
two first settled down in Jamaica Plain before moving to Malden.
They shared 34 years of marriage until Roberts passing in 1999.
Outside of work, Jeanne loved reading, puzzles, Scrabble and
traveling, especially with her mother.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Bobby) F. Nash Jr. of
Haverhill, Christine J. Nash of Haverhill, Jennifer L. Barnes of
Haverhill, and James J. Nash and his wife Jill of Haverhill, her
grandchildren, Cameron, Ryan, and Kyle Barnes of Haverhill along
with Brittany Foley and her daughter Mackenzie of Braintree.
Jeanne was also the sister to Yvonne Danforth of Mashpee,
William Mercier of Everett, Richard Mercier of Tewksbury, the
late Robert Mercier and late Joseph Mercier.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral
Home at 144 Salem St, Malden, MA on Wednesday, Feb 3rd, from 4-7
Funeral services will be held graveside on Thursday, Feb 4th at
Forest Dale Cemetery at 150 Forest St, Malden, MA at 10 AM
