Richard A. “Rick” Mini

1953 - 2020

Richard A. “Rick” Mini, a resident of Revere, passed away on Saturday, January 18th, at the High Point Hospice House in Haverhill. Richard was born in Everett in 1953, the son of Joseph and Marjorie Mini. He was raised in Malden, and graduated from Malden High School with the Class of 1970. He went on to work for the Malden public school system, starting as a custodian and working his way up until he ran the Maintenance Department for the school. After 40 years, he retired from the city. In 1992, he married his sweetheart, Vilda “Ann” Smith, and the two first settled down in Malden, before moving to the Jack Satre House in Revere 6 years ago. The two shared nearly 30 years of marriage together.


Rick was an avid golfer, and was a long time member of the Nahant Country Club. He was also active in the building where they lived, serving on the Board of Directors, and getting together to play cards with his friends that lived there.


He is survived by his wife, Vilda “Ann” Mini, his children, Denise M. Grieco and husband Augusto of Medford, and Daniel Scott DiGiacomo, and wife Amy of Thorton, NH., his sisters, Susan Mastrollie of Melrose and Nancy Hannon of Malden, and his grandchildren, Cameron, Anthony, Kyle, Bella and Caiden.


In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Mini Jr.


Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony’s of Padua , 250 Revere Street, Revere, on Wed, Jan 22nd 1t 11 AM. Committal will be private.
