1941 - 2019


Judith A.(Ciccariella) McLaughlin a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away on Saturday, June 15th, in her home surrounded by the loving warmth of her family. Judy was born in Somerville in 1941, the daughter of Nicholas and Eileen Ciccariella. She moved to Malden at an early age, where she was raised and educated, graduating from Malden High School with the Class of 1959. She began working in sales support at KJ Quinn in Malden, before becoming a Legal Secretary. As a legal secretary she worked at many firms in Boston, most notably, the law firm of Ropes and Gray. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas. She also made regularly scheduled contributions to the Massachusetts State Lottery. Judy was also an avid Bruins fan, going back as far as 1970, when she had season tickets and saw Bobby Orr’s Bruins win the Stanley Cup.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy DelloRusso of Medford, her loving companion Jack Costello of Malden, her sisters, Rosemary L. Halpinand her late husband Paul of OK and Eileen M. ”Bunny” Lennox and her husband Walter of FL, her grandchildren, Stephen, Megan, Jennifer, Christopher, Nicole, and Gina, her nieces and nephews Paul, Stacy, Nikki-Lee, and Graig, and her favorite neighborhood children, Kaitlyn and Ryan.

Judy was preceded in death by her son, Duane R. McLaughlin.

Funeral services will be held from the Weir – MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden, on Friday, June 21st, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church, Malden, at 10 AM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 20th, from 4 – 8 PM.
