John T. McCarville

John T. McCarville, a longtime resident of Malden, who had also lived for many years in Medford, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 8th. John was born in Somerville in 1969, the son of John R. McCarville and Doris (Magner). At an early age, he moved to Malden where he was raised. He graduated from Pope John High School with the Class of 1987. He then went on to attend Suffolk University where he received his degree in communication. John went on to marry Debra MacCuish, and although the marriage didn’t last, it brought their two children into the world whom John loved and adored.

John had worked as a Hospitality Manager over the years, managing restaurants at the Marriott and the Holiday Inn, as well as the Cheesecake Factory where he enjoyed many years, and the Chart House. Most recently he was working at Ronnie’s Place in Medford. He enjoyed going to the beach and the gym. He also loved animals, and always had a dog, often adopted at the North East Animal Shelter. John will be remembered for his kindness and sensitivity, and his non stop talking about his beloved children.

He is survived by his children, Alyssa McCarville of Middletown, RI, and Zachary McCarville of Stoneham, his sister, Jessica McInerney of Medford, his nephew, Samuel McInerney of Medford, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

John was preceded in death by his father, John R. McCarville, his mother Doris Butler, and his stepfather Edward Butler.

Public visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11th from 9-11:30 AM, followed by a family funeral service at 12:00 Noon.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making donations in John’s memory the North East Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970.
