Edward T. Lima

1943 - 2019

 

   Edward T. Lima of Malden, passed away on Thursday morning October 17, 2019 with his loving wife at his side, he was 76.  Ed was born in Cambridge, on October 13, 1943, the son of the late Joseph J. & Mary T.  (Grace) Lima.  Ed was raised and educated in Cambridge. He along with his family later moved to Malden.

   Ed was employed with the Polaroid Corporation as a Photographer and Videographer for many years. He later retired in 1999. Ed would later meet and marry the love of his life Julia M. Graney. The couple were married in St. Joseph Church in 2008 and spent  more than 10 years together.

   In his spare time, Ed enjoyed, landscaping around the yard. He had a love for cars, as well as his own Cadillac.  Eddie had a passion for music especially Instrumentals. Easy listening and old time country artists and  for movies. His favorite spot that he enjoyed visiting with Julia was St. Johnsbury, VT. He mostly enjoyed the times he spent was his family and his nieces & nephews.

   Ed is survived by his loving wife Julia M. Lima, his loving sister, Lorraine C. Poutre & her husband Robert of Hillsborough, NH,  his brother Thomas D. Lima of Woburn & his former wife Patty, his brother-in-law Dennis Giakoumis of   NH.  and his cherished nieces & nephews and great nieces & great nephews.

   He was predeceased by his parents Joseph J. & Mary T. Lima, his late sister Marianne Giakoumis & the late Joseph Lima Jr. of North Sutton, NH & his late wife Marie.

 A Funeral Mass for Edward will  held  in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem St. Malden, on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 11AM.

 Interment at a later date  in the Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.

 In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for contributions in Ed’s memory be   made to the “Donate Life”, 60 First St. Waltham, MA 02451.

 

Note: The family has asked everyone to go directly to church by 10:45 AM
