James F. Lawlor Jr.

1951 - 2019

James F. Lawlor Jr, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away suddenly on March 25th in his home. Jimmy was born in Malden in 1951, the son of James and Lucy Lawlor. He was raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High School with the Class of 1970. After high school he attended Mass Bay Community College. He went on to take employment with the AVCO Company, where he worked in the accounting department. After 30 years at AVCO, he moved to Bank of America in Malden, and worked there until the office closed in 2013. Jimmy enjoyed taking trips to the beach, as well as occasional trips to the casino’s in Connecticut. He was friendly, with an outgoing personality, and seemed to have a knack for always remembering people’s names. Walking down the street with him he would know so many people he seemed like the mayor.

He is survived by his sister, Linda A. Gormley and husband Timothy of Nashua, NH, and his nephew, Michael J. Gormley.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, James F. and Lucy A. Lawlor.
