Eudavilla A. “Eudy”, Langille

1927 - 2018


Eudavilla A. “Eudy”, Langille, of Melrose, formerly of Malden, passed away on January  14th in Medford. She was born in Everett in 1927, the daughter of Cornielius and Marion Sheilds. She was raised in Everett and graduated from Everett High School with the class of 1945. After high school, she married Anthony M. Basso, and although he passed at a young age, Eudy found love and companionship again with Kenneth MacDonald. She worked as an electronics technician, working at both Styco in Malden, and the Defiance Printer Circuit Company.
Eudy was active in the community, and was a longtime member and 2 time President of the American Legion Post #69 in Malden, a member of the VFW Post #639 of Malden, the VFW Post #12 of Melrose, and the Eagles Aerie of Malden, Lady’s Auxiliary. She was also a communicant of Most Blessed Sacrament in Wakefield.
She is survived by her sibling Marie Shields as well as many nieces and nephews.
Eudy was predeceased by her husband Anthony Basso, her loving companion Kenneth MacDonald, as well as her siblings Bobby, Marion, Cornelius, Hazel, William, and Edward Shields. Dorothy Pizza and Patricia Teneriello.
Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden in Friday, Jan 19th, at 8:45followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Most Blessed Sacrament, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield, at 10 AM. Interment to follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
