Vincent K. “Kevin” Boyle

1951 - 2019
 

 

Vincent K. “Kevin” Boyle, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away in Medford on October 8th, after a lengthy illness.  Kevin was born in Charlestown in 1951, the son of Vincent and Helen Boyle.  He was raised in Charlestown and graduated from Charlestown High School.  Although he had worked for the phone company and for the Boston Herald, he was primarily a house painter throughout his life.   He eventually moved to Maine for a few years.  He eventually returned to the Boston area, settling down in Malden where he has lived the last 25 years.  A quiet homebody, Kevin was an avid reader and was especially fond of history.

He is survived by his sisters, Sheila M. Bono of Malden, Eileen P. Pawl of Arlington, Kathleen M. Johnson of Malden, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents,  Kevin was preceded in death by his brother, Gerard A. Boyle.

Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden, on Friday, October  11th, at 8 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, Malden, at 9 AM.  Interment at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

 Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October  10th, from 4 – 8 PM.
