Harold E. Jenkins

1922 - 2018




Harold E. Jenkins, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away on Sunday, December 2nd, at the age of 95. Harold was born in Malden in 1922, the son of Wallace and Margaret Jenkins. He was raised and educated in Malden, and after completing his education, Harold joined the US Navy to help our counties fight in WWII. He saw action in the Pacific Theatre, and was present for the liberation of the Philippine Islands. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Malden. He became a carpenter by trade, and primarily worked installing hardwood floors, until his retirement in 1968. Harold was also a very skilled artist, and in addition to painting, he utilized his carpentry skills into woodcarving.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Linda Pimental and husband Manny of Malden, Sandra McGonagle of Winthrop, Carey Kisich and husband Robert of Malden, his great nephews Eric Kisich and Christopher McGonagle his great nieces, Maia Kisich and Kimberly McGonagle

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, of Wallace and Margaret Jenkins, and his siblings, Dorothy Jenkins, Bertha Brown, and Clifford Jenkins.

A Memorial Service for Harold will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, on Friday, Dec 7th,at 8;30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main St, Malden, at 9:30 AM. Interment will immediately follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
