Jake A. Halloran


Jake A. Halloran, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 30th.  Jake was born in Malden in 1988, the son of Daniel R. Halloran Jr. and Joanne L. Vining.  He was raised in Malden, attending the Cheverus School and then Malden Catholic High School, graduating with the Class of 2007.  His skill as a baseball player at Malden Catholic earned him a scholarship from Merrimack College, where he graduated with his Accounting Degree with the Class of 2011.   After college, Jake went to work for his father’s company, Halloran Construction in Stoneham.   He worked there until a year and a half ago, when he was accepted into the Pipe Covering Union Local #6.  In addition to baseball, Jake was an avid softball player, and was very proud of his gardening skills.

He is survived by his father, Daniel R. Halloran and wife Kristina of Stoneham, his mother, Joanne L. Vining & Alan Campbell of Malden, his girlfriend, Stephanie Zaveloff of Malden, his grandmother, Linda “Mamie” DiCarlo, his brothers, Paul Campbell of FL and Daniel Halloran of Sandwich, and his sisters, Sydney Halloran of Sandwich and Madelyn Halloran of Stoneham.

Funeral Services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden, on Wednesday,  February 5th, at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St.  Josephs  Church, Malden, at 9 AM.  Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. 

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February  4th, from 4 – 8 pm.
