 Andrew P. Grant

1946 - 2019


Andrew P. Grant, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away on Tuesday, January 8th, at his home in Malden. Andrew was born in Malden in 1946, the son of Andrew P. Sr. and Betty L. Grant. He was raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High School with the Class of 1965. He went on to become a Elevator Technician, working for the FS Payne Corporation, which eventually became the Thyssenkrupp Elevator company. He retired in 2003. In October of 1968, Andrew married his sweetheart, Judith Humphreys, in Malden. The two then settled down in Malden together where they raised their family. Outside of work, Andrew enjoyed boating, and as well as building and restoring cars. Over the years, Andrew restored a 1932 Ford, and 1924 T-Bucket, and he had just completed a 1955 Chevy.


He is survived by his wife Judith (Humphreys) Grant, his children, Kristin and her husband Lloyd Derosier of E. Kingston, NH, and Jennifer Meimaris of Exeter, NH, his sister, Andrea T. and her husband Jack Hauck of Gloucester and his grandchildren, Wenzday, Morgan, and Lucas.

Funeral Services will be held on Mon, Jan 14th, at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden with visitation from 10 – 12 and service at 12 noon.  Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett
