Robert J. “Bob” Grandmont 1941 - 2020
Robert J. “Bob” Grandmont, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Thursday, November 19th, in his home after a brief illness. Bob was born in Fall River n 1941, the son of Robert and Caroline Grandmont. He was raised in Fall River, and graduated from Fall River High School with the Class of 1959. He married his sweetheart, Nancy M. Larkin in 1972, and the two settled down together in Malden to raise their family. They shared over 45 years of marriage together until Karen’s passing in 2018. Robert has worked as a Building Maintenance Manager for many years, working for Ryan and Elliot. He also had worked for Pinkerton Security in years past. For a couple years, Bob and Karen had moved to Alabama, and while there he worked as a volunteer police officer. He retired from the maintenance position about 20 years ago. Bob enjoyed cooking and loved to BBQ. He also enjoyed traveling up to NH to go shooting. He is survived by his children, Jeannette F. Frotten of Malden, Judy A. Lasbarrone of Revere, Sandy J. Visacchi of Peabody, Ron A. Grandmont of Malden, Edward Grandmont of Somverville, and Barbara Dixon of NH, his brother of Ron Grandmont wife and Carol of Alabama, his 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Nancy. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date |
