Nancy Mae Grandmont
Nancy M. (Larkin) Grandmont a lifelong resident of Malden passed away at her residence in Malden, with her loving family at her side, she was 83. Nancy was the daughter of the late William A. & Leta M. (Devine) Larkin. Nancy was born and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School Class of 1952. In the early 1970’s Nancy would marry the love of her life, Robert J. Grandmont, the couple were married for 45 years until her passing. After high school she attended nursing training and later became a License Practical Nurse. Nancy was graduate of the Booth Memorial Hospital & Nursing School in 1954. Nancy, continued taking classes to further her skills at the Bishop State Junior College, in Mobile, AL from 1983-1984. She was always continuing her profession, taking courses towards a Associates Degree in Nursing. Nancy’s working career in nursing spanned many years. She worked at the Central Hospital in Somerville, Mobile Infirmary in Mobile, AL, Whidden Memorial Hospital Everett, in the Medical/Surgical Departments and the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, sewing, bowling and swimming. She loved her family & cherished all her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her loving husband Robert J. Grandmont, her three daughters, Jeanette G. Frotten of Malden, Judy A. Iasbarrone of Revere, Sandy J. Visocchi of Peabody and her son Ron Grandmont of Malden. She is the cherished grandmother to nine and great-grandmother of seven. Nancy was predeceased by eight loving sibling. Visiting hours for Nancy will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 5-7 PM, in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden. Nancy’s funeral service will be held after visitation at 7PM, all are welcome. In lieu of flowers contributions in Nancy’s memory may be made to the Middlesex –East Visiting Nurse Hospice/ Sawtelle Family Hospice House, Community Relations, 800 W. Cummings Park, Woburn, MA 01801. |
