Timothy E. Gould, of Malden, formerly of Peabody, passed away suddenly at the age of 59 on Thursday, January 26th. Tim was born in Boston in 1957, the son of Thomas and Helen Gould. Tim grew up in Charlestown and after completing his education, he enlisted in the US Marines. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to the Boston area, he began working for the Teamsters Local 25 and then the Teamsters Local 379. He later took employment with National Grid as a line splicer, where he has been working for the last 10 years. In 1989, Tim married his sweetheart, Deborah L. Salvatore. The two settled down together in Peabody where they raised their children. They shared 25 years of marriage together until Debbie’s passing in 2014. Tim was a member of the Elks Lodge of Malden, and a member of the Irish American Club of Malden. He also enjoyed going on vacation and traveling.
He is survived by his children, Eric M. Gould and wife Sandra of Lynnfield, Leslie G. Sorrentino and husband Anthony of Winthrop, Jennifer H. Goldberg and husband Scott of Malden, and Michael T. Gould of Peabody, his brother, Richard Gould of Melrose, his sister, Margaret McMaster of Lynn, and his grandchildren, Ella, Gianna, Eric, Gavin, and Ryan. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his wife Deborah Gould, and his brother, Thomas Gould.
Funeral Services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden, on Tues, Jan 31st at 8:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 55 Warren St., Charlestown, MA at 10 AM.
Interment to follow in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Mon, Jan 30th, from 4-8 PM.
