Anthony J. Evangelista Jr.

January 27, 1972- June 19, 2019

   Anthony J. Evangelista Jr. passed away suddenly, Wednesday, June 19, 2019, he was 47. Anthony was born in Malden on January 27, 1972.  He was the son of Anthony J. Evangelista Sr. & Joan D. (Ritson) Evangelista. Anthony was the youngest of three children born into the family along with his sister’s Cheryl & Rosemarie.

   Anthony was educated in the Reading School system and was a graduate of the Reading High Class of 1990. He continued his schooling and received an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts at Newbury College in Brookline and later a Master's  Degree in Finance from Mt Ida in Newton and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.

   In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family and the outdoors. He enjoyed target shooting and going to different gun ranges. He loved traveling and was planning on a cross country trip someday.  He was an avid sports fan, but his true enjoyment and love was his loving late dog Chloe, who will be forever by his side.

   Anthony is survived by his father Anthony J. Evangelista Sr. His sister’s Cheryl A. Gleeson & her husband David A. Gleeson of Danvers & Rosemarie Bannon and her fiancé Robert Gromyko of Port St. Lucie, FL.  Anthony was the cherished uncle of Timothy Jr., Alexis, and Laney Bannon & David J. Gleeson.  He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles & cousins.

   He was predeceased by his loving mother Joan D. (Ritson) Evangelista who passed away in January of 1999 and his cherished dog, Chloe.

   Relatives and friends may call at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden; on Monday, June 24, 2019 from 4-8 PM. Anthony’s funeral service will follow at 7 PM Monday evening.

   In lieu of flowers contributions in Anthony’s memory may be made to either the M.S. P.C.A. 350 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130 or the American Diabetes Asso. 260 Cochituate Rd. #200, Framingham, MA 01701.
