 Bimba “B” (Pinciaro) Elia

Bimba “B” (Pinciaro) Elia, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Thursday, March 30th, at the Glenridge Nursing Care Center in Medford.   Bimba was born in Malden in 1920, the daughter  of Frank and Catherine Pinciaro.  At an early age she moved to Revere where she was raised and educated.  After completing her education,  she married her sweetheart, Leonard Elia, and the two settled down in Malden together.  She was a communicant of St. Josephs Church in Malden,  and active in the community as a member of the Broadway Improvement Association where she served as treasurer for many years.  Bimba also worked at Nelsons Bakery in Maplewood Square as a sales clerk for over 20 years, retiring in 1974. 

Bimba was predeceased by her husband Leonard, and her siblings, Fusibo Pinciaro of Stoneham, Ida Conti, Viola Santella, Alba Perrone, Efisia Venti and Olimpia Perrone. 

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the Weir- MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden, on Tuesday, April 4th,  at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church, 770 Salem St, Malden, at 9 AM.  Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. 

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday,  April 3rd, from 7 – 9 PM.
