Anna L. (Giradi) “Nana”  Dorazio, a lifelong resident of Medford, passed away on Wed, April 20th, at the Lifecare Center of Stoneham, surrounded by her loving family.  Anna was born and raised in Medford, the daughter of Domenic and Phiimenia Geradi.   She married her sweetheart, Nathan Henry Dorazio in St. Peters Church in Malden in 1942, just before he shipped out to fight in WWII.  Upon his return they settled down together to raise their nine children.  Anna always kept an open and inviting home,  making sure anyone who stopped by was welcomed and fed, to the point where even her childrens friends called her “Nana”   Family was her whole life, and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children,  of  Marie A. Sacca of Saugus, Ann Dorazio of Medford, Henry R. Dorazio of Malden, Janet Sweeney of Wakefield, James Dorazio of Malden, Maryrose Dorazio of Derry, NH, Patricia Cronin of Wakefield, and Teresa Marazzi of Tewksbury, 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Anna was preceded in death by her Husband Nathan “Henry” Dorazio, her son Daniel G. Dorazio, her brother Peter Richard Geradi, and her granddaughter, Erin B. Robbins.

Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Tuesday, April 26th at 8:45 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, Malden, at 10 AM.   Interment to follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.   Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 25th, from 4-8 PM.
