James Hua Di
1930 - 2020
James Hua Di, a long time resident of Malden,
passed away on Sunday, December 27th, after a brief illness.
James was born in Li Yan, Jiang Su, China in 1930. He was raised
and educated in China, and after completing college, he became a
Professor of Language, teaching Russian and English. In 1985, he
came to the United States, and continued teaching. He taught
English as a 2nd laungage in Boston’s Chinatown for many years.
He will be remembered as a kind, selfless, and giving person.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Di, his sons, Daniel X. Di of
Melrose and John H. Di of Dedham, his daughter Angela H. Di of
Northboro, his brother, Hua Zhao Di of China, and his
grandchildren, Elvin Di, Sarah Di, Rachael Shek, Henry M. Di,
Emma Shak, and Jaden Shek.
The family will gather for a memorialization on Saturday,
January 2nd, at 10 AM at the funeral home. Committal will be
private.
