Lucille M.  DiNunzio 

1932 - 2017

Lucille M. (Travers) DiNunzio, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away at the Bear Hill Nursing Home in Stoneham on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.   Lucille was born in Cambridge in 1932, the daughter of Joseph and Marion Travers.  She was raised in Cambridge, and in 1955, she married her sweetheart, William P. DiNunzio in Cambridge.  The two then settled down in Malden to raise their family.   Primarily a housewife dedicated to the raising of her children, Lucille did work as a volunteer at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital in their gift shop.   She was very family focuses, and enjoyed making large meals for the whole family to gather and enjoy.  Lucille also enjoyed playing cards and crocheting,   and was an avid Red Sox Fan.

She is survived by her children, Paul J. DiNunzio and wife Jacquelyn of Tewksbury, Donna M. Vining and husband Steven of Saugus, her son in law Kenneth Murray of Malden, her grandchildren,  Donna M.  Little and husband Jeffery of Leominster, Matthew P. McComb and wife Kristin of Middleton, Cory T. Vining of Saugus, and Sydney F. DiNunzio of Tewksbury and her great grandchildren,  Jenna Little, Justin Little, Guiliana McComb, and Benjamin McComb.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband William, and her daughter, Laura L. Murray.  

Funeral services will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden, on Thursday, May 25th, at 11 AM with visitation from 9 - 11. Interment to follow in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
