Upon his return, he met his sweetheart, Marion Hicks of Norwich CT.   In July of 1960, they were married,  and the two settled down in Malden together to raise their family.  They lived in Malden, as well as Westfield, MA, Summit, NJ, and Barrington, RI, before returning  to the Boston area, settling down in Winchester.   They have resided there for the last 33 years.  The two shared nearly 57 years of marriage together.

After his service time, Kenneth attended Boston University where he received his Bachelors in Business Management.  He went to work for “Ma Bell” at New England Telephone and Telegraph.  While the company changed names, he remained there and retired as a Vice President of Verizon.  While there he also was a founding member of the Minority Management Association, which helped fight for the rights and the management positions of minority workers at the telephone company.

Outside of work, Kenneth was an avid golfer, who was a regular at the Unicorn Golf Course.   He also enjoyed reading, and shooting pool.  At home he loved to tend to his plants and flowers, and was especially fond of growing orchids.   Ken was a lifelong, dedicated member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Malden, and a former Chairman of the Malden School Committee.  He was also a past member of the Malden Lions Club.
