Stephen A. DeNapoli
Stephen A. DeNapoli , of Naples, FL formerly of Bedford, MA
passed peacefully on May 23, 20018 surrounded by family. Steve
was born in Malden, MA , the son of the late Amato and Filomena
(Sarno) DeNapoli. He is survived by his wife, the love of his
life, of 55 years Barbara (Scribner) DeNapoli, his niece
Denise(D’Amore)Balian of Malden, MA, Michael D’Amore and his
wife Kathy of Duxbury,MA, and 4 great nephews. Steve also leaves
behind sister-in-law Joanne(Scribner)Landry and her husband
Terry, brother in-law- Richard Scribner , and many beloved
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister
Joanne (DeNapoli)D’Amore and her husband Salvatore “Hank”
D’Amore of Malden, MA, as well as his nephew Kyle Scribner.
Steve was raised in Malden and was a graduate of BC High in 1956
and Boston College in 1960. He worked as an insurance agent for
Allstate and MF&T Insurance while living in Bedford. When he
retired in 1999, Steve and Barbara Moved to Naples, FL to
Foxfire Country Club, spending summers in Portsmouth, NH.
Steve was an avid golfer, tennis player, and skier. His greatest
joy was being surrounded by his family and friends and being
best known as “Uncle Steve” by many. He was known for his quick
wit, unique sense of humor, and big hugs.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral
from the Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem
Street, Malden, on Thursday, May 31st at 8:45am. Funeral Mass in
Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10
am. Internment Holy Cross Cemetery , Malden. Visiting hours from
4- 7 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Steve’s
memory to his favorite charities; St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
