Annmarie (Bonanno) Cunha

1958 - 2019

   Annmarie (Bonanno) Cunha, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away suddenly on March 26th after a brief illness. Annmarie was born in Everett in 1958, the daughter of Joseph and Angelina Bonanno. She was raised in Malden, graduating from Malden High School with the Class of 1976. She went on to work at Filene's Basement in Boston, first working as a clerk, and over her 32 year career, finished working in the office of the company president and the cash office. In 1981, she married her sweetheart, Thomas W. Cunha, in St. Joseph's Church in Malden. The two then settled down together to raise their family. They shared nearly 40 years of marriage together. Recently, Annmarie had been working to put her skills as a party planner to good use, starting a business providing props, decorations, and planning for themes parties.

   She is survived by her husband Thomas, her daughter Nicole T. Cunha of Malden, her brothers, Frank J. Bonanno of Malden and Albert J. Bonanno and wife Cheryl of Saugus. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Annmarie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Angelina Bonanno.

  Funeral services for Annmarie will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Monday, April 1st, at 10 AM, followed with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, 175 Broadway, Malden.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 31st, from 4 – 8 PM.
