John P. Creeden

1936 - 2021
John P. Creeden, a 20 year veteran of the US
Navy, passed away on Thursday, January 14th, in his home after a
brief illness. John was born in Lynn in 1936, the son of John
and Anne Creeden. He was raised in Charlestown, and after
completing his education, he enlisted in the US Navy. He served
for 20 years in the Navy, giving him the opportunity to see the
world, Hawaii being one of his favorite assignments. While
stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas, he met his wife Reyes M.
Moreno. They settled down in Beeville, Texas while he was in the
service, and began raising their family. After his discharge, he
returned to the Boston area, first living in Somerville, before
moving to Malden 6 years ago. He went to be Building
Superintendent for the Gray, Gray, and Gray legal firm in
Boston, where he worked until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Reyes M. Creeden, his children,
Roxanne Covalucci and son-in-law Billy Covalucci of Saugus,
Jacqueline Creeden of Malden, Sabrina C. Fucile and husband
Allen A. Fucile of Wilmington, and Joseph L. Creeden of Malden,
his siblings, Marilyn Sawicki of ME, Donna Seel of E. Boston,
Jean Creeden of Everett, Deborah Reid of Malden, his
grandchildren, Phillip and wife Shawna, Amanda, Tyler, Jillian,
Dominique, Tirza, Nico and Ridley, and his great grandchildren,
Myah, Sonny, Mila, and Angelo.
John was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Creeden and
his sister, Anne Kiddie.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, Jan 21st, at Sacred
Hearts Church, 279 Main St, Malden at 10 AM. |
