Carol A. Collyer

Carol A. Collyer, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away
suddenly on March 9th, in her home. Carol was born in Malden in
1936, the daughter of Bernard and Teresa Collyer. In her early
years, the family moved to Everett, where she completed her
education, graduating from Everett High School with the Class of
1954. She went on to work in the insurance industry, as a clerk
in the mail room at OneBeacon Insurance Company in Boston. After
over 40 years with the company, she retired. She enjoyed word
search puzzles and was an avid sports fan. Carol also loved her
nearly daily visits to the Dockside Restaurant in Malden, and
treasured her time spent with family.
She is survived by her nieces, Tricia Butler of Haverhill and
Terri Butler of Salisbury, as well as 5 grandnieces and
grandnephews, Rachel Seavey, Ryan Seavey, Brendan Seavey,
Kristen Butler and Evan Allendorph.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her
sister, Ann Marie Grace.
Funeral services will be held graveside at Glenwood Cemetery,
Washington Ave, Everett, on Tuesday, March 23rd, at 11 AM.
