Roberta  A. Cassaro

January 25, 1943-February 26, 2017

 

     Roberta  A. (Catalano) Cassaro of  Everett,  passed away after a long illness with her loving daughter Lisa at her side, early Sunday morning February 26, 2017,  in the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center, Medford,  she was 74.  Roberta was born on January 25, 1943, the daughter of   the late Robert U. & Lucy A (Monaco) Catalano in Somerville. She later resided in Everett for forty years and raised her daughter, Lisa.

     Roberta’s greatest love was caring for her family. She was known as giver, she loved cooking, cleaning, shopping, all for the good of her family and her loving pets through the years.

     Roberta was the cherished mother of   Lisa M. DiRado and her loving husband Nicholas “Nick” DiRado both of Stoneham. She was the former wife of Anthony P. Cassaro of Stoneham.  Devoted sister of  Robert Catalano of Melrose and aunt to Jessica Hart, Jennifer Wilson, and Robert Wilson all of Tennessee, Thomas Catalano of Everett.

     Roberta was predeceased by her brother Thomas Catalano formerly of Everett and her sister Debra Wilson formerly of Tennessee.

     A memorial service will be held in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00AM.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10–11AM.
