Cashman, James "Jimmy",76, of Medford, formerly of Somerville, died peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday May 2, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents John Cashman, Sr. (Youghal, County Cork) and Mary Maguire Cashman (Enniskillen, County Fermanagh). Brother of John “Donnie” Cashman and his wife Mary P. of Hull, Thomas “Kevin” Cashman and his wife Gail of South Carolina, Anne Cashman Maguire and her husband Robert of Reading (formerly of Medford). Uncle of Brian Cashman and his wife Julie of Mansfield, Kara Cashman Pellicano and her husband Bill of Hull, Kerry Cashman of Hull, Michael Cashman of Hull, Sean Cashman and his wife Elizabeth of Roslindale, Kathleen Maguire Scibelli and her husband Phil of Stoneham, Michele Maguire Nolan and her husband Scott of Wilmington, Michael Maguire of Somerville and Kevin Cashman of Chicago. He is also survived by 15 loving grandnieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden, on Saturday May 6 from 8:30 until 9:30 am before proceeding to Immaculate Conception Church, Malden for his Funeral Mass at 10 am. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Jimmy worked at Fisher Junior College for over 25 years. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the South Shore 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370-1055.
