 Joseph S. Camarata


April 12, 1942- March 26, 2018

   Joseph S. Camarata of Malden passed away in the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a short illness, he was 75. Joe was born in Everett, the son of the late Joseph L. & Mary A. (Faugno) Camarata. He was raised in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School.

   After his schooling Joe joined the Army National Guard. He took employment with the former First National Bank of Boston, later named the Bank of Boston as an Importer. He worked at the bank for over 25 years until health reasons forced him to retire. In July of 1974 Joe married the love of his life, Dolores C. Buonomo. Joe was born and grew up in Everett, married and lived in Woburn and finally, moved to Malden.

   In his spare time Joe was considered a big reader, and enjoyed the company of good book. He enjoyed his time on his computer or his IPad, searching the web.  He also was an avid Boston sports fan following all the teams through the years. Both Joe and Dolores enjoyed their trips driving up to Canada or down to the southern states and Florida.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Dolores C. Camarata, his three sisters and several nieces & nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents Joseph L. & Mary A. (Faugno) Camarata.

   A Memorial Service will be held in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 11AM.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9- 11AM. In lieu of flowers contributions in Joe’s memory may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation   N. E., 335 Main St. # 8, Wilmington, MA 01887.
