Sheila E.  Boulanger


Sheila E. (Woods) Boulanger, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away suddenly, on Thursday, April 21, 2016. Sheila was born in Somerville in 1949. While growing up there, she attended the Somerville School System. After completing her education, she moved to Cambridge. In 1982, she married her sweetheart, Louis G. Boulanger, and the two first lived in North Cambridge before settling down in Malden where they raised their family. Sheila became an active member of the Sacred Hearts Church in Malden, and had volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister there. She enjoyed puzzles, knitting and crocheting . She loved going to the beach, traveling with her husband Lou and sunning by the pool at her niece Kim's home. She also treasured the time she spent with her dear friends and family. Sheila had worked in the Medical Billing field, first working at Atlantic Medical Billing, and later for Insulette in Bedford, from where she just recently retired.


She is survived by her husband, Louis G. Boulanger, her children, Michael J. Fleming and his fiancé Teresa of Malden, Louis P. Boulanger  and his wife Alicia of Malden and Janine G. Clark and her husband Paul of Columbus, OH, her siblings, Gayle Siggens of Somerville, Carole Woods of Somerville, Larry Woods of Malden, Joseph Woods of Norwood, her grandchildren, Daniel, Cody, Paige, Lexi and Breaelle, and great grandchildren, Lacey and Finley.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sheila was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Cronin.


Funeral Services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Mon, Apr 25th, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, Malden, at 10 AM. Committal to follow in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sun, Apr 24th, from 4-8 PM.
