Adele E. (Nicholson) Gertz,
86, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Wednesday
November 3rd, 2021. Adele was born in 1934, the daughter of the
late Donald and Mary Nicholson of Cambridge. Adele was an office
manager and accountant for many years, an avid Red Sox fan and
also enjoyed doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, as well as
spending time with her loving family.
Adele is survived by her two sons Edward Gertz and wife Valerie
of Malden and Kenneth Gertz and girlfriend Liz of Malden, her
daughter-in-law Karen (Gertz) Yerkes and husband Michael, her
loving granddaughter Kerri (Gertz) Cranwell and her husband
Evan, as well as many nieces and nephews, and her very dear
friend Ellen Grasso. Adele was predeceased by her husband Warren
Gertz, her son Martin Gertz, her parents Donald and Mary
Nicholson and her siblings Jean, Jim, Donald and Dorothy.
A graveside service for Adele will be held at Puritan Lawn
Memorial Park in Peabody on Friday November 5th at 10am.
